What to Do:
- If your child is missing from home, search the house, check the closets/ almirahs, check with his/her friends, neighbours/ relatives, under the beds, inside large containers /appliances, and inside vehicles (car, vans etc..), including places wherever a child may crawl or hide.
- If you still cannot find your child, immediately call your local police /law enforcement agency.
- If your child disappears in a Shopping Mall/ Exhibition/ Store, notify the store manager or security office to make an announcement. And then immediately call your local police, if your are still not able to find your child.
- When you call the local police, provide your child's name, date of birth, height, weight, and any other unique identifiers such as eyeglasses and braces, which will help in identifying the child faster.
- Tell them when you noticed that your child was missing and what clothing he or she was wearing-be descriptive.
- Request that your child's name and identifying information be immediately entered into the Missing Person Information Center.
- Ensure that all the information you have given is recorded in the Police Files.
You can now enter the particulars in the in this website and fill the reporting form available. After verification & authentication of the details provided by you, you will become a part of the "search & find team" on the Missing Persons website. You will receive "found persons" alerts and can check on the status of search for the person reported missing by you.
